though it is beautiful, despite everything. i have always felt reverence for the skies, for the clouds especially.
i have always dreamt of finally being free enough to soar up and up, leaving my bounds behind, the ground, the body. soaring into the skies, a great dragon. One not made of despair.
it is a small wish, to fall up.
small enough to burn its way through my blood and bones with its sickening grief.
i feel terrible
and the skies are beautiful
so many of us look for a god, for enlightenment, judgement, acceptance.
One must only look to the skies, see its all encompassing, looming might. its violence, its silence.
Only god can judge, they say, but nature is not half as judgemental.
it will strike you down like any other, it will shelter you, envigorate you and hunt you down.
As is nature.
We are the only beings that can experience beauty, true reverance.
it is in knowing what is above you and that you are both equal and opposite.
What is god if not the nature around us?
what is beauty if not to be the only one to witness the ever shifting, momentary cumulus.
you, your perspective, being the only one to witness it in that way, despite thousands of eyes.
Your experience is your own.
so witness, and learn. for you are the only one who can do so for yourself
